Regardless of the fact that Finland or Estonia have not yet decided on whether to build a tunnel connecting Helsinki Tallinn tunnel, yet alone who should build it, Angry Birds founder Peter Vesterbacka pushes ahead with his own plans. He will conduct his own environmental impact assessment and afterwards will apply for a new spatial plan.

The interesting thing is, Estonian government had already announced in July that they had decided not to initiate the studies to build such a tunnel.

Peter Vesterbacka's tunnel plans are criticized for Chinese involvement as well as probable harm to ground water in Estonian side.
