    Hi,

I would like to share two articles that I read at UCA periodical. It is not behind a pay-wall, hence free to read. Below is the first one. I think we will be seeing more Data Science applications over the TBM tunnelling or tunnelling in in general, as the time passes.

Emerging data-processing technologies for TBM projects — state of the art and outlook

Ulf Gwildis - CDM Smith, Bellevue, WA

Ulrich Maidl - Founder and managing director, MTC, Munich, Germany

Jamal Rostami - Associate Professor, Alacer Gold/Haddon Endowed Chair, Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO

The article is available to read free of charge on the website of Underground Construction Association. They have placed the March 2021 issue of the whole periodical as one PDF which you can read online or download. It is on the main page. This particular article is on page 13.

This is the more direct link to the pdf, although it might be a dynamically generated one and may not work. If it does not work, try the first link.

Definitely the tunneling also will be benefiting from the data sciences.
