National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR) has received one bid on the deadline for Lugoj-Deva Highway (A1), Lot 2 work. So called "missing link".

This 300 million euro section tender deadline originally was 31 January. But there was appeal of Greek company Aktor. It was rejected on January 26. New deadline was 14 February.

CNAIR has released information about the bidders. One JV submitted a bid.

The tender for the design and execution of lot 2, section E and completion of section D of the Lugoj-Deva Highway has been submitted.

On Monday, February 14, 2022, the bids for the Second Stage (Technical Proposals and Financial Proposals) of the contract award procedure "Design and execution of works for the major investment objective Lugoj-Deva Highway (A1), Lot 2 : km 27 + 620 - km 56 + 220 - Section E and completion of Section D ".

By the deadline, only one bid was submitted by: Consortium of MAPA INSAAT VE TICARET A.S. - CENGIZ INSAAT SANAYI VE TICARET A.S.

The Evaluation Commission will analyze at this stage the submitted bid, respectively the Technical Proposal and the Financial Proposal in accordance with the provisions of the Award Documentation and with the legislation in force in the field of public procurement and with the observance of the legal terms regarding the evaluation of tenders.

Estimated value of the contract: 1,363,135,841.00 Lei without VAT.

Length of the route: 9.13 km, of which 2.13 km of tunnel.

Funding source: European Grants.

The deadline for completion is 10 months for design and 28 months for execution, according to the evaluation factors in the Award Documentation.

Under the terms of the Environmental Agreement, the construction of two tunnels under Section E2 was planned in order to avoid stability issues and the negative impact with major environmental implications.

The length of the two tunnels will be approximately 2.13 km. The tunnels will consist of two one-way galleries provided on each traffic lane with a platform of 11.25 m.

We remind you that Stage I of the restricted tender procedure was completed on 27.10.2021, being also sent the invitations to participate in Stage II of the procedure - Stage of submission of tenders, to the 6 pre-qualified candidates in the first stage, as follows:
