Hyundai Engineering & Construction to demonstrate TV frequency-based wireless communication for underground tunnels
Hyundai Engineering & Construction has received Korean government approval to apply TVWS (TV White Space) to enable seamless data communication throughout the tunnels. TVWS is the spectrum of TV frequencies not used for broadcasting.
This improves safety of tunneling workers.
This technology does not need repeaters (LTE).
