Construction halted after machines damaged. Media report 4-5 meter daily progress before the halt.

Construction come from both ends of Dhading and Kathmandu for Nagdhunga Tunnel. So far 50,5% progress reported.

The tunnel is 2.7 km long 12 meter wide 8 meter high. Construction started late because because Nepal Army did not grant permission for import of explosives for constructor Japan’s Hajma Ando Corporation. Then after came COVID_19 pandemy.
