Doha Metro's Gold Line has been built by Yapi Merkezi (Turkey), STFA Group (Turkey), Larsen & Toubro (India), Aktor (Greece) and Al Jaber Engineering (Qatar). It opened for passengers on 21 November 2019. It is comprised of twin tunnels each of which is ~16km long.
The construction used 6 Tunnel Boring Machines from Herrenknecht to bore 32km long tunnels on average 20 meters below ground.
