Estonia's Harju County Government Says Privately Financed Tunnel Option Should be Considered

As already posted by someone in this group, Estonia's Minister of Public Administration Jaak Aab had claimed that the tunnel project was not economically viable. But then he had added that such a tunnel had to be built by bi-governmental cooperation\ confusing people's minds. If it is economically not viable and bad for the environment, how is it gonna be not so bad when built by tax money instead of the private funds?

Estonian governments snub of privately financed FinEst tunnel did not go well with some in Estonia. According to Estonia's English language news site Err.eu says Harju County Local Government wants a spatial plan to be prepared for the Helsinki-Tallinn tunnel. More importantly, basically they are saying that the Estonian government should not just disregard the FinEst for building this tunnel.
