Alpe Adria Green Association (AAG) said the tunnel construction activities release water mixed with drill coolant, cement and marl to waterways connected to the Rižana River. 

Publications says " "Fortunately, the pollution was mostly sedimented, 'concrete' was formed, and at least there was no serious pollution of the Rižana River," the AAG said.".
