Sydney's neighbourhood hits back at road tunnel plan which comes as close as 6 meters to houses overhead

The tunnels are built as part of the $16.8 billion WestConnex project. Although the builder says that  most of the tunnelling would occur between 30 and 60 metres underground and assure the residents they would not feel the estimated 100,000 cars moving below them, it turns out that parts of the tunnels will come as close as six metres to some homes close to exit points, according to Transport for NSW.

Residents ask for change in the plans.
