In addition to everything this project hit so far.

Water leakages, corrosion of cables causing fire risks and now comes yet another bad news for the Follobanen's 19,5 kilometers long  Blix Tunnel. This time, a report by the Oslo Fire & Rescue service says that the tunnel is not fit for fighting a fire.

In a yet another set back for Bane NOR, the railway infrastructure company of Norway, the report says that the Bane NOR has deficient procedures and equipment in place to detect and fight a possible fire in the Blix Tunnel. Escape routes without fire extinguishers, phone coverage deficiencies, fire doors to heavy to open, malfunctioning overpressure equipment and so forth.

The Follobanen has cost the Norwegian taxpayers around NOK 36,8 billion. It is the costliest ever transportation project in the history of the country.
