SET Elektro AS will operate the tunnel electro on the national roads in Østfold, Follo and Nedre Romerike.

Set Elektro AS has won the competition for the operation and maintenance of national road tunnels for Statens vegvesen (the Norwegian Public Roads Administration) over the next five years.

Set Elektro AS will operate and maintain all electrical systems in a total of 15 tunnels on the national road network in Østfold, Follo and Lower Roman Empire - cameras, booms, photo booths, variable signs, pumping stations and aggregate systems and more.

Statens vegvesen is the client.

The contract is valid from September 1, 2025 and five years to come, with the possibility of another three years.

The lowest price won

The contract has a value of approx. NOK 160 million over five years and has been awarded the company that offered the lowest price.

They performed the previous contract period satisfactorily, and our expectations are that Set Elektro also performs in the coming period, says project manager Tom Luther of Statens vegvesen.

The contents of the electrical contract

The electrical contract for tunnels on the national roads in Østfold, Follo and Nedre Romerike covers the operation and maintenance of the following electrical systems:

 15 tunnels
 25 pumping stations
 39 points for automatic traffic control

In addition, these facilities are included outside/in connection with the tunnels:

 10 heating cable systems
 124 variable signs
 9 booms
 32 cameras
 2 aggregate facilities

SET Elektro AS provides electrical services in transport and installation and has approx. 90 employed. The head office is located at Sem outside Tønsberg, with departments in Porsgrunn, Ås and Steinkjer, as well as project office in Asker.
