The year of 2019 has been the boom year of tunnel investment in Poland. This is reported by engineering publication inżynieria.

The construction of the tunnel along the S7 road in Małopolska is at an advanced stage, the construction of the II line of the Warsaw metro is coming to an end, the first TBM machine (Tunnel Boring Machine) for boring the tunnel in Łódź  is already manufactured by the German company Herrenknecht. The construction of the tunnel boring machine to be used in Świnoujście tunnel is built by Chinese company CREG.
