Two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) arrived from Germany 5 years ago in 2016. It was planned that they would be assembled and become operational in the same year.

Only that, it did not happen. Things went a bit slow with the project and TBMs mothballed in storage places.

Until April 2021. Finally the assembly of the first of the TBMs has started. Theese TBMs are the biggest ones Peru ever seen. The one being assembled has a diameter of 10.27 meters. All things go fine, boring will start in July.
