Baden-Württemberg's Transport Minister says expansion of the Rhine Valley Railway will be accelerated
The Rhine Valley (Rheintalbahn) Railway will connect North Sea ports and Italy when completed. The minister (from the Greens) thinks the wailway will contribute to attain the climate targets.
Deutsche Bahn is busy preparing the approval application documents for the Offenburg tunnel. Once constructed, the new 11 km long Offenburg tunnel will be the longest railway tunnel in Germany.
