Aiming at the engineering problem of lack of reliable geological forecasting methods for long-distance TBM diversion tunnel excavation, research on related geological forecasting methods was carried out. By comparing the technical requirements of TBM tunnel geological forecasting and the technical characteristics of various forecasting methods, a preliminary analysis of the forecasting methods suitable for TBM is carried out. Relying on a TBM diversion tunnel project to carry out on-site application of TRT technology, the prediction results were compared with the actual exposed surrounding rock, which verified the applicability and accuracy of TRT prediction technology in TBM tunnels.
