Construction of 2.69-kilometre-long Nagdhunga-Naubise Katmandu tunnel is 27% complete with 37% of budget spent according to Nepal press. That is 736 meter dug total from both ends.

Project cost is estimated around  $188.19 million. $141.41 million financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as a loan of to Nepal government.
