Korea company Awasoft develop deep learning artificial intelligence system for tunnel inspection. Korea Engineering Journal gives the news.

Awasoft system automate manual tunnel inspection process. Awasoft system scanner mounted on a vehicle. Vehicle drive in tunnel at 50 kilometer speed. Scanner get image of tunnel walls on sides and ceilings. 

Artificial intelligence software of Awasoft ignores disturbances for example changes in tunnel lighting or edges which are not cracks. Awasoft system collects images and processes. It uses them for deep learning. Therefore it learns to recognize cracks, damages in that tunnel or bridge or other structure. System creates a database with every meta data.
