The Cross City tunnelling of Łódź has finally started booking progress. The project is full of delays. First Energopol Szczecin, a consortium member got into problems and had to be replaced by another company. Then came COVID-19 etc.

12,7 m in diameter TBM Katarzyna will bore a two-track tunnel to Łódź Fabryczna 3km long. It has so far bored 200 meters/

The 8,76 meter  Faustyna will bore the tunnels between  Łódź Kaliska and Łódź Żabieniec, 4 single truck tunnels of 4,5 km long. The TBM has done much better. It has already bored 700 meters.

The construction of a cross-city tunnel under Łódź is the largest such investment in Poland. It costs PLN 700 million (PLN 400 million comes from European Union).
